Apprentice Roofers & labourers - wanaka & queenstown

We create more than just flashings and roofs, we also create talented roofers. Roofing isn’t just a job, it’s a career so we invest in training and supporting our apprentices to get their career started.

The basic qualifications to enter an apprenticeship program are as follows: *Minimum age of 18 *Full NZ drivers license *Physically fit *The right to permanently live and work in New Zealand for at least 5 years.

You will be working within a small team and should be able to take direction and training from managers and peers. You should be well organised and pay close attention to detail, be reliable and arrive to work paying attention to personal hygiene, wearing the correct supplied uniform and not under the influence of any intoxicating substances.

The apprenticeship is fully funded by the company and takes 3 years to complete. You would then be expected to remain with the company for at least 2 years after completing your apprenticeship.

Installing roofs under the RoofingSmiths brand, we work on some of the highest quality Residential, Commercial and Architectural projects in the area. By joining the company, you will be taking your place alongside 23 qualified roofers who have completed their apprenticeship within the company.

fascia & gutter installers - wanaka 

We are looking for mature people to join our Fascia and Gutter teams. You should still be physically fit and motivated to learn a new trade or expand on your existing knowledge of building and construction. Applicants should have their own transport and a full NZ drivers license. Full training will be given.

Roofers & Wall Cladders - wanaka & queenstown

We have a number of positions for Roofers and Wall Cladders with 3+ years' experience. If you are looking to grow and develop, we will take you on a journey to become a skilled craftsman working on a variety of projects from some of the best architectural homes in the area, to large scale commercial buildings, with a wide range of metals and materials: steel, corten, copper, kingspan, tri-core and membrane.

This is the next stage of your development to become a leading hand.

Our expansion has created another exciting opportunity for the right person who likes the thrill of the chase. This position involves finding more customers and maintaining a closer relationship with our existing network of customers and trade partners ... the key duties will include:

• Presenting yourself, the products and the company to drum up new business opportunities.
• Great communication skills to be able to liaise with architects, engineers, builders and homeowners.
• Being self-motivated, energetic and positive when it comes to working to targets.
• Can work autonomously.
• Sourcing plans and tenders to quote on.

Ideally if you have a background in trade or construction sales and can work on a part time basis, two days a week then we would like to hear from you.
